Every year, Motor Trend magazine takes all the current models and makes a list of the best vehicles on the market. As of now, Motor Trend is releasing the contenders for the 2019 Motor Trend Car of the Year Award. To keep you all up to date, I figured that I would share a few of the contenders that have been chosen and why they are amazing cars for the list!
2019 Ford Mustang
In the past few years, Ford has turned the Mustang world upside down by putting a Turbo 4 inside the engine bay. But, this isn’t the 1980’s SVO, its the brand new Mustang and it has made it to the Motor Trend List. The turbo 4 provides plenty of power, fuel economy, and torque for any daily driver.
2019 Volkswagen Jetta
The Volkswagen Jetta has always been an amazing car, but the new 2019 is a perfect contender for the Car of The Year. It has a stylish interior filled with tech goodies, it’s inexpensive, and it’s great on gas! The best part is that the 2019 model year got a nice refresh, making the Jetta
longer and taller give the cabin more room and more cargo capacity.
New to the Ford lineup in 2018, the smallest Ford crossover brought us something that none of us knew we needed. It provides the market with a small sized, low price, and high cargo capacity crossover. It also has pretty amazing fuel economy which is a welcomed idea to any new car buyer. Now, I am a bit impartial to the Cherokee as I am a big Jeep fan, but the 2019 Cherokee is a strong contender. With 2019 being a model refresh year, the Cherokee is looking less bug-like and more Jeep-like. The main reason why this is my pick for the Car of The Year, is the capability. The Cherokee can go on-road, off-road, city, and woods. It has amazing fuel economy and plenty of cargo space.
